Hey guys, Lets share our experiences of getting through the admission process (read:alive) of any Indian college. It can be anything from standing in long queues, begging your siblings to get the forms, having to visit the college again & again due to their system errors & so on...

Heyy hardik...
That's a good one. we can have some funny time reading about all this. lets laugh it out as we all at some point have faced these hardships. getting education in India is really tough :p
The admission time is even more tiring and stressful than the examination time. running to different colleges for collecting forms, then again going to submit them, and the worst thing is when their computer systems are not working and they call you back to submit them. i have faced these and they were truly annoying. and it doesn't end there. its a beginning of another saga. waiting to know what's happening with your application, when are the merit lists, or for any other query, we have to once again visit the college. they just refuse to give any information over the phone. i feel now its high time they should go online with the admission season.
These are some of the general things i have faced. guys put in your experiences as well and we'll know what is the state of advancement in our country.

Hi hardik
Very good post. This topic is the need of an hour. Every year we face lot of issues as to how we are really troubled of our manual admission system. There is lack of infrastructure, people & moreover lack of systematic approach.
I completely agree with Yach's reply. Why not take this admission process completely online? Sitting anywhere one must be able to easily complete admission process (right from filling the form to the payment of fees). This will completely resolve our problem like standing in long queues, troubling parents, continously visiting college, return empty handed.........& lot many.
Thus having a hassle-free admission season. Imagine the level of transperancy, ease, comfort, systematism both to the college as well as the students by "ZGoing online"
Hey all, wake up & lets take an initiative !!!!

That is one of my dream when i launched this site that a parent can register their son or daughter as soon as they are born and get a call from the school when they are ready to admit the child.

In the developed nations every child is assured of an education till 12th grade, so they don’t need any standardized system but in a country like India there are no standards and everyone will be happy if you are able to provide a service that eliminates bureaucratic paperwork, and parents don’t have to waste their time running from one school to another school to get their child admitted.

Nice thought Admin. I actually wanted to bring out these major issues which you had mentioned like lot of paper work, bureaucracy, wasting time, bothering parents during the admission season. Now we all are aware of the difficulties we face during our admission process.
Why not make it simple! What are the possible solutions inorder to get rid of these issues. Why not use the technology to its fullest extent....
Technology exists in india. why aren't we reluctant to adopt this new technology of "Online Admissions" lets discuss & try to come up with possible solutions.
