M.Sc. Food Technology
The Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, has invited applications for an entrance/aptitude test, to be held on July 22 in Mysore and New Delhi, for admission to its M.Sc. Food Technology programme. The University of Mysore awards the degree.
Graduates in science who have studied chemistry or biochemistry as one of the subjects at the degree level, with 55 per cent marks in the optional subjects, or those with a second-class bachelor's degree in agriculture, engineering or technology, with mathematics as one of the subjects at the Plus-Two or degree level, are eligible for admission. Fifty per cent marks are enough for B.Sc. (Honours) degree holders. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) applicants get a relaxation of 5 per cent marks.
Those who have appeared for the final-year degree examinations can also apply, but they should produce the degree not later than July 31.
For obtaining the application form and prospectus, send a demand draft for Rs. 500, drawn in favour of Director, CFTRI, Mysore, along with a self-addressed envelope of 30 x 25 cm size bearing stamps of Rs. 30, to the Director, Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore - 570 020.
