Nursing at JIPMER
The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, has invited applications for an entrance examination to be held on July 22 at Puducherry for admission to its B.Sc. Nursing and B.Sc. (MLT) programmes.
Duration of the B.Sc. nursing course is four years. Intake is 75 (open general 23, OBC 14, open SC 7, open ST 6, Puducherry general 15, Puducherry OBC 6, Puducherry SC 4). Duration of the B.Sc. (MLT) programme is three years.
Intake is 30 (subject to approval of Pondicherry University/ University of Health and Family Welfare — open general-9, OBC 8, SC 5, ST 2, Sponsored 4, foreign students 2).
The applicants should have passed Plus-Two or equivalent examinations, with physics, chemistry, biology/ botany, zoology and English, and should have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks taken together in physics, chemistry and biology/ botany and zoology in the qualifying examinations. For SC/ST students, the minimum marks will be 40 per cent.
The application form and prospectus can be obtained by sending a demand draft for Rs. 280 drawn in favour of Accounts Office, JIPMER, Puducherry, along with a request to Registrar (Academic), JIPMER, Puducherry - 605 006.
The request for applications should reach JIPMER on or before May 8.
The last date for receipt of filled-in applications is May 22, till 4.30 p.m.
