The Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Guindy, Chennai- 600032, has invited applications for a Joint Entrance Examination to be held on July 8 for admission to the following courses:

•M.Tech. (Plastics Technology Engineering): Eligibility BE/ B.Tech. in Mechanical / Chemical / Production / Polymer Engineering or M.Sc. in Polymer Science / Chemistry with polymer specialisation. Age-limit 35 years.

•Postgraduate Diploma in Plastics Engineering (PGD-PE): Eligibility BE/B.Tech./ B.Sc. Engineering (4 years) in Mechanical / Chemical / Production/ Polymer / Tool Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics / Instrumentation/Petrochemical /Electrical/ Mechatronics or equivalent, maximum age 26 years.

•PG Diploma in CAD / CAM for Plastic Engineering (PGD-Cad PE): Eligibility BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical/ Chemical / Production/ Polymer and Tool Engineering, maximum age 26 years.

•PG Diploma in Plastic Processing and Testing (PGD-PPT): Eligibility a three-year graduate degree in science with chemistry as one of the subjects, maximum age 24 years.

•Post Diploma in CAD/ CAM for Plastics/ Mould Design (PD-Cad PMD): Eligibility three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Plastics / Chemical Technology / Tool Production Engineering Mechatronics / Automobile Engineering / Tool and Die Making / CIPET DPMT or equivalent, maximum age 24 years.

•Post Diploma in Machine Maintenance (PD-MM): Eligibility three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Mechatronics / Instrumentation Engineering / Tool and Die Making / CIPET DPMT or equivalent, maximum age 24 years.

•Diploma Post Diploma – Integrated Programme in Plastics Mould Technology (PD-PMT/ DPMT) Plastics Technology (PD-PT/DPT): Eligibility Class X pass with mathematics, English and science, maximum age 18 years. Students will have the choice to opt for three-year diploma or four-year post diploma at the time of admission.
Those who have appeared final qualifying examination and awaiting results may also apply.

Age relaxable up to five years for the applicants sponsored by industries and SC/ST category.

Completed application forms along with the requisite fee should be sent to the Director General, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering Technology (CIPET), Guindy, Chennai – 600032 on or before June 18.
