The Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Adayar, Chennai – 600020, has invited applications for an Entrance Examination to be held on June 10 for admission to the following programmes commencing on July 2.
•Diploma in Leather Processing, Leather Goods, Leather Garments, Leather Footwear: Duration is 52 weeks each, entry qualification is Plus-Two with 50 per cent marks. Fee Rs. 20,000 for each course.
•PG Diploma in Leather Processing: Duration 52 weeks, entry qualification is B.Sc. degree with Chemistry being one of the subjects with 50 per cent marks. Fee Rs. 20,000.
Diploma in Leather Goods is conducted at CLRI and its Kolkata, Regional Centre and Indian Institute of Leather Products (IILP) Chennai.
he Diploma in Leather Garments is conducted at CLRI and its Jalandhar Regional Centre and IILP. Diploma in Leather Footwear is conducted at CLRI and IILP, and PG Diploma in Leather Processing is conducted only at CLRI, Chennai.
Age limit for all the courses above is 30 years as on June 1, 2007.
The selection is based on Entrance Test and interview.
Application form and prospectus with course details can be had from the Head, Centre for Human and Organisational Resources Development (CHORD), CLRI, Adayar, Chennai - 600020, on request along with a self-addressed envelope of size 30 x 15 cm with Rs.5 postage stamp affixed and a crossed bank draft drawn in favour of Central Leather Research Institute for Rs.100.
