Why so little active participation?

I have posted 6 technical articles in the Chemical Engineering forum which have now been read by 220+ people ... but not a single one has responded to them in any way. Why so little participation?

Scanning some of the other engineering forums disclosed the same lack of participation. I don't understand why this is happening.

^ well , as you have observed this forums site is yet to get active
participation from its members in most of the sections . only a few / none
respond although many view the topics ... This happens at many sites !
